Pizza alla Pala is creating using a long Rise, high-hydrate dough which the ancient Roman bakers stretched lengthwise, then top with matching toppings and cheese. The pizza is then baked in a conventional electric oven heated up to 580 F inside 10 minutes. This type of pizza has become well known in the United States as it is offered by more than half a dozen restaurants in Los Angeles.
The dough for pizza alla Pala is produced in the shape of a circle, with the use of modern technology, and rolled out in the electric room temperature oven. There are no wooden logs or rockers used to create the dough, which requires no additional preparation prior to baking. Some prefer to create a chocolate chip cookie crust for a richer, sweeter dessert. For a healthier alternative you can use Pillsbury or cookie dough crust. You can also use regular flour for a crunchier crust. For an even milder flavor you can use enriched wheat flour.

The dough is made by using warm water, yeast, and olive oil. You also need about an egg and about three tablespoons of water along with the active dry yeast. Most stores have a special thin crust recipe that has everything you need to bake a pizza in just a few minutes from start to finish, and the pizza is done when the water comes to just below the top of the bread.
